Some Thoughts with … Cal Black
Today we are accompanied by Cal Black, author of No Land For Heroes, a great western fantasy novel.
Today we are accompanied by Cal Black, author of No Land For Heroes, a great western fantasy novel.
No Land For Heroes is the debut novel from Cal Black, and the first instance in the Legend & Legacies series. As somebody whose last experience with Fantasy Western was The Gunslinger, I didn’t really know what to expect from this book; but after finishing it I can say it’s one of the most solid novels I’ve read, hooking from the start and with plenty of powerful moments.
Of Water and Dance is the book that plans to start The Golden Twins series by Leslie Griffin. Just by looking at the cover, you can get an idea that we are going into a really different title, one that goes far from the classic fantasy clichés and that tries to innovate in several ways.
Today we have the honour of being accompanied by Andrew D. Meredith, author of The Kallattian Cycle and Thrice.
Bonds of Promise is the introductory book to the Kallattian Cycle, the epic saga from Andrew D Meredith. It is a really solid work that serves as a way to introduce the foundational pillars to what it aims to become a high-scope book series, fulfilling that job in a length that is not usual for the genre, as it is shorter than the usual fantasy book (200 pages approx).
Today we are accompanied by Madolyn Rogers, author of Tales of Wyvernia and also featured in the anthology The Alchemy of Sorrow (will be released in November 2022).
The Copper Assassin is the first book in the Tales of Wyvernia series by Madolyn Rogers, and it serves as a way to introduce ourselves into this peculiar world, whose building is one of the most originals I’ve seen, probably due to the blend that it makes with fantasy and sci-fi.
Today we are accompanied by Shauna Lawless, author of the recently published by Head of Zeus Children of Gods and Fighting Men, first book in the Gael Song trilogy.
