Perils of Sea and Sky is the debut novel from the Norwegian writer Lilian Horn. Being a big fan of Stardust, and a steampunk enjoyer, picking up to host this tour was an easy decision. And I’m so happy about doing it because this book combines many elements that I enjoy, such as it is the ship theme, the naval battles, and charismatic characters enrolled in an almost suicidal mission.
Today we are accompanied by E.G. Radcliff, author of the dark fantasy series The Coming of Aéd.
The Hidden King is the first book in the Coming of Aéd trilogy, a YA Dark Fantasy series by E.G. Radcliff. I dived into this book almost blind, just knowing that it had good reviews, and now I want to read the full series, because I think there’s so much potential in the world of the Coming of Aéd, being darker than I expected.
The Rarkyn’s Familiar is the initial book in the Rarkyn’s trilogy by the Aussie author Nikky Lee. This book is basically YA High Fantasy well done, with really intriguing worldbuilding, excellent characters, interesting creatures, and vivid action scenes. In contraposition with other YA books, this doesn’t feature any kind of romance, only friendship. I read it as a part of a buddy read in the Indie Accords discord, which I think also helped with the experience and the enjoyment.
Today we are accompanied by J.D. Mitchel, author of Springtide Harvest, an interesting debut.
Springtide Harvest is the debut novel from the Canadian writer J.D. Mitchell, and the start of an unknown title series. It can be read as a great standalone novel, being a captivating coming-of-age story, with an excellent written flow, which introduces us to a really interesting world, and characters who I want to know more about them.
Today we are accompanied by Susana Imaginário, misfit from Portugal, and author of the Timelessness series, which blends Norse and Greek mythologies.
Wyrd Gods is the initial book in the Timelessness series, by the Portuguese author Susana Imaginário. As a lover of mythologies, and seeing a book this ambitious, trying to mix different ones in the same story, this book bumped into the top of my TBR. Add to the mix that I got the audiobook, which is fantastically narrated by Sarah Kempton, and that makes a perfect combination.
