A Bitter Drink, by Azalea Forrest

A Bitter Drink is a really interesting novel by Azalea Forrest, where the author uses really uncommon characters to weave a fantastic story, which hooks you from the start to the end. It’s great that I discovered it due to SFPBO, because it has a ton of possibilities of ending in my top 10 reads of the year.

Goodbye to the Sun (Wind Tide #1), by Jonathan Nevair

Goodbye to the Sun is the initial book in the Wind Tide series, a space opera by Jonathan Nevair. It brings a really interesting proposal, taking the Greek tragedy Antigone and using it as the base for the themes and the structure in this space opera. As somebody who has been in love with classical culture since I was young, and on the other side, a lover of space operas, this seemed like the perfect mix of both passions.

Today we have a special interview for this section. We are with Lorraine Wilson, game developer and writer, whose work in X4: Foundations and Wolves in the Westwind are certainly remarkable. She’s also planning to self-publish some novels based in the world of Vampire: the Masquerade, so it seemed a great excuse to give a spotlight to a person that deserves it.

Starbinder (Eye of Eternity #0.5), by Mark Timmony

Starbinder is a really loose prequel to The Blood on the Spear, being both parts of the Eye of Eternity series, by Mark Timmony. In this short novel, we are going to follow the story of Reiana, and the fate stars have set for her.
